Leap Health Hobart
Claire is a passionate Podiatrist who joined the Leap Health team in October 2017. She studied at La Trobe University, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters in Podiatric Practice. Averaging a high distinction and finishing in the top 15% of students, she was awarded membership of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Claire is originally from Hobart and returned in 2014 to take up a Podiatry position at the Royal Hobart Hospital. During her two years at the Hospital she gained experience in all areas of Podiatry, in particular treating high-risk foot conditions.
Claire has a keen interest in gait analysis, musculoskeletal injuries and preventing foot complications. Including anything from foot ulcers to painful bunions! She has undertaken professional development in mobilisation and manipulation of the foot and ankle.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys keeping active and playing sports such as hockey, tennis, water and snow sports, bushwalking and even the odd hit of golf! Sparking her interest in Podiatry, Claire’s passion for sport lead her to compete interstate at nationals for hockey and athletics.
