Emma grew up in Wollongong, NSW. She studied at the University of Wollongong and completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics degree in 2011. Her first dietetic job out of University was working for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Medicare Local in aged care.  

Emma went on to travel and worked in Canada and the U.K. A lot of her experience came from the University College London Hospital, St Pancras Hospital and St George’s Hospital’s in London, where she worked mostly on the oncology, infectious diseases and aged care wards. Emma worked with young children and teenagers in after school programs also, teaching healthy cooking and exercise classes. 

In addition to her nutrition degree, Emma has also completed her certificate 3 and 4 in fitness, the Sports Dietetic Course and the Paediatric Nutrition Course at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.  

Emma moved to Tasmania in 2019 with her partner Ben. She enjoys doing anything in the outdoors and has run two marathons so far (Sydney and London) and would love to train for another one in the future. Emma was a gymnast and competed until the age of 21. She has been lucky enough to travel to 36 different countries. Over the past 10 years she has not only worked as a Dietitian, but also worked as a Camp Counsellor in Canada which involved hiking in the Canadian Rockies, a Nanny in London looking after 4 children and a Teaching Assistant.  

Emma will be working across our Huonville, Kingston, Hobart and New Town clinics.
