Tania is the eldest of three children born in Tasmania and spent her early childhood in Victoria before returning to Tasmania to live in the Upper Derwent Valley. Tania studied at Glenora District High School, Claremont College, completed age care certificate training 20 years ago, then became an enrolled nurse with NGT while working at Corumbene Nursing Home and went on to complete further study as a registered nurse and nurse immuniser at UTAS.
Tania has worked in a variety of settings within Tasmania, and has significant years of ckinical experience in the areas of age care, agency work, acute care, general practice, contracted mobile nurse immuniser, community health nursing, nurse navigator of home care packaging, care coordination and chronic disease management.
Tania especially enjoys home care health care assessments and my age care referrals. She has developed a follow through of care coordination approach assisting patients with doctors, allied health and community home care providers to assist patients and their families to live well within the communities of our beautiful state of Tasmania.
Tania has joined Leap Health Team as a footcare nurse where she is working alongside our Podiatrists and wider Allied Health Staff to provide in clinic and community footcare. Tania will draw upon her years of experience in wound care, communication and health assessments to assist the Leap Community.
Outside of work Tania has developed hobbies in both painting and craft and has a general interest in upcycling for second life use of everyday items, you can follow her journey under Decoresix, on Facebook and Instagram.
