Physiotherapist
Offsite Services

Telma graduated from the University of Queensland in 2018 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) in Brisbane. She then moved to Tasmania to work with Leap Health, joining our growing Offsite Services team. Since then, the Offsite Services & Home Visits team has grown to 9 staff members and encompasses all of Southern Tasmania.

Telma’s primary field of interest is physiotherapy home visits, enjoying the challenges of treating patients in their homes who are unable to travel to a Leap Health clinic. Telma has a keen interest in the fields of Disability, working with NDIS patients and disability services, and Healthy Ageing, partnering with several aged care homes to visit residents in need of physiotherapy. She also enjoys working with patients who have had surgery and are home from hospital, but not yet up to getting to a physio clinic.

Telma grew up in Europe and worked previously as a registered translator and interpreter, and is also fluent in both Spanish and French. In her free time, she is an avid knitter, traveller, and volunteer LGBTQ+ youth mentor.
