Alistair Wood

A Tassie local, Alistair grew up in Margate, south of Hobart. He studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Albury/Wodonga, graduating in 2019.

Alistair is incredibly passionate about physiotherapy, which is reflected in his academic success. Making the Executive Dean’s honor roll for academic excellence, he also graduated with distinction. Being awarded the Australian Physiotherapy Association Award for Academic Excellence was a highlight for Alistair, achieved with hard work, dedication and effort.

Clinically he is most interested in the role of exercise in rehabilitation, with a keen focus on strength training. Alistair is also very passionate about evidence based practice and its necessity to inform clinical decision making in a world where misinformation is so easily accessible. He is planning to complete Level 1 Cert. from the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA).

Outside of work, Alistair’s interests include bodybuilding, strength training, and mountain biking.
