Annabel joined the Leap Health team at New Town in June 2017. Originally from Hobart, Annabel moved to Melbourne to study two undergraduate degrees in Sports Therapy and Exercise and Sports Science, before completing her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. Annabel has developed a keen interest in women’s health, specifically pre and postnatal care, pelvic pain and post surgical recovery. She has spent many years representing Tasmania in hockey and she enjoys all aspects of treating sports injuries, regardless of the sport.

Annabel has completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy) through the University of Melbourne and continues to expand her knowledge in this area. Annabel works to continuously diversify her skill set completing Level 1 and 2 matwork pilates through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, a 5-day intensive course on Women’s Health and the Advanced Bowel Course through Women’s Health Training Associates as well as the pelvic floor first exercise course with the Continence Foundation of Australia.

Annabel has completed further studies in lactating breast conditions and is skilled at using ultrasound and adjunct therapies to treat mastitis.
