Claire joined the team at Leap Health in March 2023 with the focus of further developing a hand therapy service across the Rosny, Newtown and Kingston sites.

Claire graduated from Latrobe University, Melbourne in 2010 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (majors in anatomy and physiology) and a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

She has since gained almost 9 years experience working as a hand therapist across both public and private settings in Melbourne, Darwin. Townsville and more recently, Geelong.

Claire is an accredited hand therapist (as awarded by the AHTA) and has a specific interest in the management of extensor tendon injuries, burns and hand fractures.

She has gained significant experience with post surgical hand and upper limb trauma rehabilitation and loves the process of splinting and casting, in all its forms, to help her patients recover from injury.

Claire has recently made the move to Hobart, from Victoria and is already enjoying exploring the city and Tasmania’s wilderness.

Having grown up on the coast of the Bellarine peninsula, Claire enjoys an ocean swim, sailing and a rock-pool ramble. Her other interests include pottery, playing tennis, cooking and music.
