Danae is from Mount Isa in Northwest Queensland; she studied on the Sunshine Coast and completed a Bachelor of Dietetics in 2019. In 2022, Danae relocated to Tasmania to travel and explore a new place and it is now where she calls home.

After University, she worked in private practice and public health nutrition working on projects and delivering nutrition and cooking programs to groups. Further professional development activities include Monash University FODMAPs course, InsideOut eating disorder course and Dietitian’s Australia Bariatric course.

Areas of interest for Danae include diabetes, heart health, disordered and mindful eating and taking a weight neutral or health at every size approach. She also volunteered with the Okines Community House Food Co-op that provides access to affordable bulk, local and organic when possible foods for the community.

In her down time Danae enjoys learning to surf, bush walking, swimming and of course, cooking! She is also a trained Yogalates instructor and loves teaching three classes per week.
