Emma joined the Leap Health team in 2015, seeking out a new challenge in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Emma grew up in Sydney, completing her studies at The University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy).

Emma is particularly interested in hand injuries and splinting, post-operative and neurorehabilitation. More recently Emma has completed a Specialist Certificate in Neurological Rehabilitation to hone her skills in this special interest area. Neurorehabilitation includes but is not limited to Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Acquired brain injury, Spinal cord injury and Muscular dystrophy. Emma is also qualified in Dry Needling.

Since working with Leap Health, Emma has applied her skills to assist with aged care programs and sporting teams, including Cricket Tasmania, Clarence Cricket Club and the UTAS Women’s Rugby 7’s. Emma’s background as an elite athlete has her well-placed to treat and manage sporting injuries and provide strength and conditioning programs.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys running around after her 3-year-old daughter and spending time outdoors with the family.
