Stewart is a Co-Director and Physiotherapist at Leap Health. He graduated from LaTrobe University in Melbourne in 2001 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy, having assisted Tasmania’s elite sports teams perform at their best through his involvement as Physiotherapist to the Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes Cricket Teams. Prior to his work with cricket, Stewart held the following sports team physiotherapy positions:

  • The Northern Knights AFL team (TAC Cup) –  2002
  • Maroochydore Clippers Basketball Team (QABL) – 2003, 2004, 2005.
  • Troon Tornadoes Basketball Team (Scottish National League) – 2006, 2007.
  • Tasmanian Tigers Hockey Team (Australian Hockey League) – 2009, 2010, 2011

In between working and travelling with cricket, Stewart loves his work in the clinic, especially helping people to overcome neck pains and headaches, as well as post-surgery rehabilitation. Stewart is supporter and promoter of continual learning within his profession, and regularly travels to sports and physio related conferences and events, which help to ensure that his knowledge and skills are always aligned with current best practice methods.

Outside of work, Stewart enjoys playing tennis and spending time at home with his wife, and two young kids Isabel and Patrick. Stewart also periodically gets time to play his guitar… albeit very poorly, by his own admission!
