Tim Gibbons

Physiotherapist
Salamanca

Tim graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2018, having previously completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science at UTAS. Tim has recently returned to the state after consulting in a Melbourne-based private practice for the past two years.

He is experienced in treating sports injuries and has worked pitchside with state-league hockey, soccer and VAFA premier football teams in Victoria. Tim has used his strength and conditioning background, combined with a DMA Pilates certification, to rehabilitate many of these athletes back to sport from long-term injuries such as ACL and Achilles ruptures.

Tim has a special interest in treating runners, using a range of manual therapy techniques, exercise rehabilitation, gait analysis and load management programs to keep his clients running. In addition, Tim holds a GLA:D qualification and specialises in treating those with hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Tim’s main goal as a therapist is to assist people to continue with the activities that are important to them. Outside of work, Tim enjoys cooking with local produce sourced from the array of markets in Hobart and surrounds, trail running, spending time with family and doing odd jobs on his brother’s vineyard.
