Our three tips to relieve lower back pain

To assist relieve lower back pain, we recommend the following three tips;

  1. Assess your situation – Take a moment to reflect on your current lifestyle. Do you sit a lot at work? Possibly at a desk or in the car? If so, do you need to change this to ensure you lower back position is altered throughout the day. Staying in one position for extended periods of time isn’t good for your lower back and body as a whole. One option to help change your position throughout the day is to use a device like a Fitbit. You can set reminders to stand up and stretch. If a Fitbit isn’t an option possibly try calendar reminders or grab a ‘stretch friend’ at work to remind you to move throughout your day.

Unfortunately, our lives get busy and therefore our daily exercise is often put to the side. Moving your body is one of the best ways to ensure ongoing overall health. Possible ways to get more exercise in your day could include; starting a morning walk ritual, adding a walk around the block as part of your lunch break or scheduling meetings a couple of blocks away from your office.
