Five minutes with Meg Beton

It’s been almost a year since bubbly Meg Beton joined the Leap Health team. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, she helps people improve their health one step at a time. We thought it was time to sit down with Meg and ask for her thoughts on a few questions!

What’s the thing you love most about being an Exercise Physiologist?

The daily satisfaction of helping people to improve their health and wellbeing.

What’s your best tip for a weekend warrior?

Book in a time to exercise!

Whether it is a strength class, a social sport, walking group or a fun run. Putting your name down to attend a group will help to hold yourself accountable.

What is your favourite meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner?

A good weekend brunch

My motto is…

Keep persisting!

You wouldn’t know it but…

Exercise Physiologists have difficulty prioritising exercise for themselves too. There is no “one size” fits all approach to exercise, and sometimes people spend a lot of time figuring out what to do. This is where an Exercise physiologist can work with you to tailor a program and achieve your goals, quicker!

I’m inspired by…

Research.

It motivates me to develop a fuller understanding, think outside the box and improve on my treatments and practices.

I can’t live without…

My family and friends

Tea or coffee?

Both

If you could be a superhero for one day, what would you be?

Ah, maybe a superhero with X-ray vision, to save my clients time on getting MRI’s and imaging.

Meg practices in our New Town, Hobart, Salamanca and Kingston clinics. Meg is also available for home visits in the Huonville / Cygnet region on Fridays.
